Play 123, Alfie Atkins is an educational app that offers a playful and engaging way for children to learn mathematics through numbers. In the app, children join Alfie in his kitchen where they can explore a recipe book filled with fascinating recipes. These numbers and simple mathematics are then used to cook dishes in the game, which can be decorated with spices and other extras, allowing for creative expression. As children progress in the game, they unlock new decorations and recipes, ensuring long-lasting gameplay and continuous learning in a fun and pedagogical environment. The app emphasizes a personalized learning experience, allowing children to play and learn at their own pace.
In addition to its educational value, Play 123, Alfie Atkins was designed with children's needs in mind. It does not feature points, time limits, or other elements that could lead to failure or stress. This allows children to fully engage with the app without feeling pressured.
The app is available in six different languages and offers the option to create individual profiles for multiple children. However, please note that Apple does not support family sharing of in-app purchases. To share the full version of the app with family members, it is recommended to purchase the separate premium full version from the Appstore.
Play 123, Alfie Atkins is developed by Gro Play, an xEdu.co alumnus and member of the Swedish EdTech Industry. Gro Play collaborates with the Playful Learning Center at the University of Helsinki to create game-based learning experiences.
